Dear Mrs. Koutousi, a number of our partners from abroad have at times asked about modern Greek language programmes in Greece and we have recmmended various private institutions because we were not aware of the Aristotle Uni. programmes. Could you possibly send us more detailed information about dates, prices, accommodation, programme description (if available in English), so that we can forward them to interested foreigners in case we have more request from our partners worldwide. The School of Modern Greek Language was founded at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1970 and has been ever since operating under the supervision of the Faculty of Philosophy. Though these years more than 35.000 students from 70 countries have studied at the School. Apart from teaching Greek language and culture the School of Modern Greek Language organizes national and international training seminars for teaching Greek language as a foreign/second language and seminars for its own teaching and administrative staff.

The School also organizes tailor-made courses such as the Erasmus Intensive Language Courses, Paideia Semester Abroad, Endeavour Language Teacher Fellowship(ELTF).

I'm Alessandra Usàla, director of studies of Mariposa, scuola di lingua e cultura italiana in southern Sardinia. Our school is located in Castiadas, a small village which is also a popular holiday resort.
